Re-Balancing: Asymmetrical Breath
A 1 day course with 8 NPCP credits and a deep dive into:
- How abdominals integrate with diaphragm mechanics, ribcage posture and movement patterns
- The distal muscles that influence the function of the abdominals and diaphragm
- The asymmetrical design of the human diaphragm and it's influences on breath, posture & movement
- How to rebalance and maintain relative balance in the asymmetrical diaphragm and it's influences on the body
And plenty of lab time to practice corrective exercises on the reformer to rebalance asymmetrical breath, posture and movement.
Re-Balancing: Asymmetrical Posture
A 1 day course with 8 NPCP credits and a deep dive into:
- The primary triplanar movements of the thorax and how they relate to posture
- The most common asymmetrical postural and movement patterns
- How to rebalance and maintain relative balance of the inherent asymmetrical human
And plenty of lab time to practice corrective exercises on the reformer to rebalance asymmetrical posture and movement.
Re-Balancing: Pelvic Health
A 2 day course with 16 NPCP credits and a comprehensive guide to understanding:
- How the breath and pelvic floor mobility integrate for controlling abdominal and air pressure
- The consequences of a dysfunctional and asymmetrical pelvic floor patterns including how these patterns relate to common pelvic floor symptoms
- How to manipulate breath and the muscles around the pelvis during Pilates activities to facilitate better pelvic floor function, pelvis alignment & balance
- How to talk to clients about pelvic health and develop your own pelvic health network
And plenty of lab practice to integrate concepts into Pilates repertoire.
